Greek Independence Day Parade announced in Philadelphia

Pennsauken, NJ – The Federation of Hellenic American Societies of Philadelphia and Greater Delaware Valley gathered for their annual Vasilopita cutting event and to kick off the new year. The evening was highlighted by several announcements in regards to the Greek Independence Day parade which will take place this year, on March 23, 2014.

The honorable Rob Andrews, first congressional district of New Jersey would be the Grand Marshall. Joanne Saltas, Grand president of the Daughters of Penelope and Supreme President of the order of AHEPA’s Anthony Kouzounis both will share duties as honorary marshals. The event will take place along the Benjamin Franklin Parkway and is scheduled to start at 2:00 pm.
