7. Payment Processing
Contributions made through the Cosmos Philly Support page are processed securely by Stripe, Inc. Cosmos Philly does not directly collect, store, or process payment card information. All payment data is transmitted directly to Stripe over an encrypted connection.
By making a contribution, you agree to Stripe’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
For monthly contributions, Stripe stores your payment information to facilitate recurring charges. You may update or cancel your monthly contribution at any time. Cosmos Philly retains a record of contribution amounts, dates, and associated contact information for accounting and legal compliance purposes.
Contributions to Cosmos Philly are not tax-deductible.
8. Newsletter Subscriptions
When you sign up for a Cosmos Philly newsletter, your email address and any optional information you provide are submitted to Kit, which acts as our email service provider and data processor. Kit stores subscriber data and delivers our emails on our behalf.
You may unsubscribe at any time by clicking the “Unsubscribe” link at the bottom of any newsletter email, or by contacting us at info@cosmosphilly.com. Following unsubscription, your email address may be retained in a suppression list to ensure we do not send you further communications, in accordance with applicable law.
Cosmos Philly does not share newsletter subscriber lists with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
9. Data Retention
Personal information is retained only for as long as necessary to:

- Deliver newsletters to active subscribers

Contact and communication data is not retained indefinitely.
Newsletter subscriber data is retained for as long as you remain subscribed. After unsubscription, limited data may be retained in a suppression list as described in Section 8.
Transaction and contribution records (including amounts, dates, and associated contact details) are retained for as long as required by applicable accounting, tax, and legal obligations, which may exceed the period of the contributor relationship.
