February 4th, 2012. St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox church, Upper Darby. Family members gathered and cheered on as St. Demetrios students (k thru 8) performed Greek dances from through out Greece. Celebrating another year of Greek culture, tradition and education, the Greek school of St. Demetrios showed the crowed it’s skills. Navy blue skirts and kaki’s twirled and fanned the halls of the church, while beaming family members looked on with pride. During the early winter months, area Greek schools are celebrating with dances across the Delaware Valley. These students shook off old man winter and reminded all of us, that we have a community and future in our youth. Congratulations to St. Demetrios Greek School on a job well done.
