Philadelphia, PA – The Astra Foods Cheesesteak Challenge took place yesterday. It was the fourth time the contest took place as part of the annual Philadelphia Cheesesteak Festival. The contest saw nine men and one woman compete in the 10-minute challenge, with Mike Force of Palmyra, New Jersey, emerging the winner with 6 cheesesteaks.
Some 5000 attendees and more than forty vendors at Arena 2300 in South Philadelphia enjoyed a day of food, music, and fun at the indoor and outdoor affair. John Vasiliou and Tony DeVincenzo of Astra Foods were on hand helping kickoff the annual affair. “We’re thrilled to be here again, taking part in this Philly tradition that continues to grow”, said DeVincenzo.
