Foula Tsionas

Zografoula (Foula) Tsionas passed away peacefully on January 29, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Mrs. Tsionas was born in 1933 in Korinos, Katerini, Greece, to Fotios and Katerina Vasilikou. At the age of 20, she immigrated to the United States, filled with hope and amazement at the possibilities of a new beginning. During a return visit to Greece, she met her future husband, Konstantinos Tsionas, and together they returned to the United States to build their life and raise a family.

Foula and Konstantinos shared many successful business ventures while remaining firmly grounded in the faith and values that shaped their early years in Greece. They were deeply devoted to the Greek Orthodox Church and to the Greek community of Wilmington, Delaware.

Mrs. Tsionas was a faithful and active member of Philoptochos, the philanthropic women’s organization of the Greek Orthodox Church, where she generously offered her time and support in service to others. Her kindness, quiet strength, and unwavering dedication to family and faith defined her life.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband Konstantinos, her brother Panagiotis, and her daughter Katerina.

She is survived by her daughters Georgia (Demitrios) and Angela (Anagnostis); her six grandchildren, Billy, Constantina, Alex, Konstantinos, Yianna, and Kosta; and her two great-grandchildren, Konstantinos and Myrto. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews whom she dearly loved.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at 11:30 a.m. at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 808 N. Broom Street, Wilmington, Delaware. Viewing will take place at the church from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. Entombment will follow at Silverbrook Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that donations be made to Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral of Wilmington.

May her memory be eternal.
