The Federation of Hellenic American Societies of Philadelphia and the Greater Delaware Valley cordially extends an invitation to all individuals to attend the annual Greek Flag Raising Ceremony, which will take place on Friday, March 31, 2023. This event is held in honor of and recognition of the Greek War of Independence, which has an important place in the history of Greece. The celebration will commence at 1:30 pm. outside City Hall (North Apron) and will feature a Flag raising ceremony beginning at 2:00 pm.
Adding to the event’s grandeur will be the participation of the Evzones, who will be present to pay their respects and mark their presence at the celebration. This is a once-in-a-year opportunity to witness a historic event showcasing Greece’s rich cultural heritage and the strong bonds of the Greek community in Philadelphia and the Greater Delaware Valley.
