Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Wilmington, DE has opened registration for the 2025–2026 Greek School, giving children and adults the chance to study the Greek language in a structured, faith-centered environment that links language learning with Orthodox tradition and Hellenic culture.
The new year begins with an Open House on Wednesday, September 17, from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. Parents and students can meet the instructors, review the curriculum, and learn how classes are organized before registering.
Classes are offered for grades Pre-K through 6, where students build skills in reading, writing, and conversation through age-appropriate lessons and activities. For students preparing for internationally recognized Greek language proficiency exams, Ellinomatheia preparation courses provide targeted instruction. Young adult and adult classes will also be offered; schedules will be announced once enrollment is complete.
Classes meet every Wednesday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., offering families a manageable weekly commitment throughout the academic year.
The school year opens on Wednesday, September 24, with the Agiasmos at 5:00 p.m. This Orthodox tradition marks the start of the academic year and asks God’s blessing on students, teachers, and families. After the service, the first full session of classes will begin.
Holy Trinity’s Greek School has served generations of students, helping them read and understand the Greek of the Divine Liturgy and engage with the history, music, and literature of their heritage. Families are encouraged to enroll, whether their goal is conversation skills, success in Ellinomatheia exams, or a stronger bond with their faith and heritage.
