Cherry Hill, NJ – St. Thomas Greek Orthodox church filled with parishioners as his Eminence, Metropolitan Evangelos of New Jersey conducted the Divine Services of Holy Thursday.
On Thursday of Holy Week four events are commemorated: the washing of the disciples’ feet, the institution of the Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist at the Last Supper, the agony in the garden of Gethsemane, and the betrayal of Christ by Judas. Four visiting chanters set the mode for the evening that traced the final hours of earthly ministry of Jesus Christ which lead to His glorious Crucifixion.
