New York – On Sunday morning, 20 new prominent Archons were sworn in and joined the prestigious class of Constantinople Officials. Amongst them, was Philadelphia’s own, Stathis Karadonis. Archbishop Demetrios presided at the Divine Liturgy at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New York City. Following the Divine Liturgy the ceremony of investiture of the new Archons took place.
Karadonis was given the title of Archon Hypomnematografos. Karadonis is a member of the St. Thomas Greek Orthodox community in Cherry Hill NJ. In addition, he currently serves as President of both St. Thomas and the Federation of Hellenic-American Societies of Philadelphia and Greater Delaware Valley.
Karadonis was born and raised in Thessaloniki, Greece. He is a father of two boys and is married to his wife Michelle for 20 years. An active and proud member of AHEPA chapter 69, Camden, he has been a member for ten years. “I was honored and humbled to represent the Philadelphia metropolitan community and aspire to the values of the Order of St. Andrew bestowed upon me.”
