Upper Darby, PA – Big Jim Armenakis and the Boys did it again. They managed to pull out a victory over the Kings, not once but twice this season. It’s a rivalry that has played out during the season and the playoffs past that’s always a battle worth watching.
Danny’s Boys 60, Kings 58
Playing without their MVP guard Pete Kathopoulos, the Boys came together to bring home a much-needed victory and continue to hold on to fourth place. Danny’s Boys jumped out to a 10-0 run early on. Jim Armenakis was unstoppable scoring at will from wherever he chose, leading all scores with 26 points. The King’s definitely had an off night yesterday. Missed layups and lack of a defensive summed up their loss to the Boys. This is a game to forget and move on quickly, the playoffs are a just a week out, and this kind of effort will end their season early.
Wolfpack 55, PAS Giannina 38
The Wolfpack are a team that is consistent. Led by George Vlahos last night who scored 21 points, the Pack cruised to their twelfth victory of the season and are just one game out of first place. On this night they were just too much for PAS Giannina who has had a great year. Evan Tsiklidis has become a scoring standout for this team. Last night he put 30 of his teams 38 points, but it wasn’t enough.
Revolution 67, Boardwalk Empire 47
Pete Kada and Chris Vasiliou teamed up to score 47 of the team’s total points and lead the Revolution over the Boardwalk Empire. The Rev’s executed great ball movement and controlled the tempo of the game the entire way. The Revolution continue to hold on to first place. But the Wolfpack are just one game out. Let’s see what the final week will tell us about playoff standings.
