Upper Darby, PA – The Boardwalk Empire and the Warriors came out running fast breaks and exchanging buckets the first minutes of the evening’s big eight pm matchup. The Boardwalk Empire applied a lot of half court pressure that appeared to be working as they made off with several steals. But the Warriors featured several veterans that were able to work through the traps at half court. By halftime, they had a double-digit lead 33 to 23 and looked in control.

Scoring was spread out amongst the Boardwalk Empire that saw Nick Kafkalas and Zois Gasis combine for four three-pointers and a total of 22 of the team’s points. It was a solid performance for the Empire, but their man to man defense could not halt the Warriors who dominated. They forced the Empire to work from the perimeter a bit more than they should have. Will Galiatsatos led all scorers with twenty points and Kosta Nikolos drove the baseline where he broke down the Empire’s defense and scored thirteen points to help.

The Warriors will be a team to watch this season, especially when they get their full squad to show up. Keep an eye on their one to punch Nikolos and Galiatsatos. They can carry this team into the playoffs. Tonight they brought home their second win.
