January 5, 2012 — The Cherry Hill Change-Up
This week in the PGBL brought plenty of excitement, with a mix of expected outcomes and a few surprises.
The Kings continued their dominant run, firmly holding onto first place by snapping the Knicks’ six-game winning streak. It was a statement win that reinforced their position at the top of the league.
Meanwhile, the Terps secured a solid victory over the Grizzlies. Still winless in their PGBL expansion year, the Grizzlies are looking to find their rhythm as the season progresses.
In perhaps the most impressive showing of the week, Arseniko pulled off a gutsy win against a full-strength Revolution squad — and did it short-handed. Despite missing several players, Arseniko delivered under pressure, led by Stefanos Grigorakakis, who put on a scoring clinic with 39 points on the road.
It was a night of momentum shifts and standout performances — one that may shake up the standings moving forward.
