The Philadelphia Greek Orthodox community will gather on Sunday, October 26, 2025, for the 15th Annual IOCC Banquet. The evening will bring parishioners, families, and friends together in support of International Orthodox Christian Charities (IOCC) and its worldwide humanitarian mission.
The banquet has become a tradition in Philadelphia. Each fall, parishioners, families, and friends return to share fellowship, hear about IOCC’s mission, and contribute to its work. It is an evening of good food and community spirit, but also a reminder that our support here at home helps people in need across the country and around the world.
IOCC is the humanitarian arm of the Assembly of Canonical Orthodox Bishops of the United States. Since its founding in 1992, it has delivered more than $800 million in aid to families in need in over 60 countries. The work ranges from providing food and shelter in times of war and natural disaster to helping rebuild homes and restore livelihoods after the cameras and headlines have moved on.
Over the past year, IOCC volunteers have been especially active in the United States. After Hurricanes Helene and Milton devastated parts of the Southeast, Action Teams stepped in to help families repair homes and begin again. In Tennessee and Florida, volunteers have been installing drywall, laying flooring, and making houses livable once more. These are long-term efforts that continue long after the storms have faded from the news.

The banquet is one of several IOCC events taking place across the country this fall. What unites them all is a simple truth: support gathered in each local community becomes part of a much larger effort to serve neighbors near and far.
