Upper Darby, April 20, 013.-This past Saturday at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox church in Upper Darby, the Ladies Philoptochos society hosted their annual bid and buy. Billed under the theme of “Ladies Night Out”, the annual event raises funds for St. Demetrios church and a variety of charities. This annual event brings the ladies organization together with other organizations across the Delaware valley. Many of the Greek Orthodox churches in the metropolitan area are hosting their annual bid and buy event via the Philoptochos and for St. Demetrios, this event is amongst their largest fundraisers.
