Jeffersonville, PA – On Saturday morning, the Vesperal Divine Liturgy of St. Basil the Great took place at St. Sophia Greek Orthodox Church. Reverend Economos Peter J. Thornberg, Proistamenos conducted the service.
Approximately half into the liturgy, Rev. Thornberg circled the church and tossed palm leaves onto all areas and people in attendance. The service precedes the Saturday midnight Easter mass.
