Elizabeth Onassis (née Anderson), beloved wife of the late John A. Onassis, mother of Tina F. Onassis, and loving Yiayia of Yianni Onassis, entered into eternal rest, having never awakened from her dreams on Friday, June 6, 2019.
Elizabeth was predeceased by her husband, whom she loved dearly, John A. Onassis; her parents, Alexander and Anastasia Anderson; brothers Andy, Bill, and Zelenograd; her sisters-in-law Helen B., Helen Z., and Rosalie; along with many other relatives and friends.
Left to cherish and honor her tender memory, Elizabeth leaves behind her daughter Tina, with whom she lived and who cared for her every need over the past five years; her grandson Yianni; her nephews—Al, also known as Andy; John; Bill; Pete; Alex; and Jim Anderson; their wives—Marilyn, Debbie, Maryann, Sue, Kitty, and Joann; their children-Michael, Greg, Dave, Nicole, Paul, Anna, Tommy, Laura, Molly, Jim, Joy, Jeff, and Jacqui—and their spouses and children; along with cousins, koumbari, other relatives, and friends.
Betty’s funeral will take place this Tuesday at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church in Elkins Park. Viewing at 10 am. Funeral at 11:00 am, interment at Fernwood Cemetery.
Instead of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church Elkins Park or Vraim Funeral Home in Betty’s (Elizabeth’s) name.
