Voorhees, NJ – On Tuesday, December 7th, the St. Irene Philoptochos of Cherry Hill, NJ’s Saint Thomas parish, enjoyed a festive evening at the freshly renovated banquet hall of “The Mansion” in Voorhees, New Jersey.
Chaired by Ms. Kay K. Kokolis and supported by the entire society, the unique annual event resulted in a full house, about 180 people, Gala Event. Fr. Christoforos Oikonomidis gave the invocation and confirmed a previous announcement that a new parish priest has been assigned to the St. Thomas Church and will arrive sometime in January 2022.
Following dinner, the ladies danced the traditional Greek dances, led by the famous DJ Makis. Although this was mainly a ladies’ event, over 20 happy gentlemen were present and had a great time. Santa Clauss also made an appearance.
