On Friday, July 19th, from 8 PM until late, Zesty’s will shift from a cozy dinner spot into something more. This is one of those nights when the room feels like a neighborhood gathering. It’s the kind of evening that reminds you what it’s like to enjoy live music with good company.
Anthe Angelou will be singing. If you’ve heard her before, you already know. If you haven’t, you’re in for something real. Her voice moves easily between well-loved hits and deeper, soulful melodies that make you pause mid-conversation just to listen.
On bouzouki, Costas Psaros will take the stage. His playing brings out the heart of the night without ever feeling forced. A few notes in, and you’re no longer in Philly. You’re outside somewhere warm, where the music floats across the air and nobody’s in a hurry.
Chris will be at the keyboard. Some people know him as Χρήστος, depending on how you met him. He’s the one who keeps the whole thing moving, blending newer sounds with the traditional rhythms that hold it all together.
Of course, a night like this comes with good food. Zesty’s will be serving the classics: fresh fish, grilled meats, small plates to share at the table. As the music picks up, don’t be surprised if the crowd shifts a little to make space for dancing. Or at least for that quiet back-and-forth sway when the bouzouki gets inside you.
