The Pan-Orthodox Choir of Greater Philadelphia performs at the Third Annual IOCC Benefit Banquet, held at St. Sophia Greek Orthodox Church in Valley Forge, 2014.

The Philadelphia Greek Orthodox community will gather once again this fall for the 14th Annual IOCC Banquet, a tradition that brings parishioners, families, and friends together in support of International Orthodox Christian Charities and its worldwide mission of compassion. The event will take place on Sunday, October 26, 2025, at Adelphia Restaurant’s Pan Athenian Grand Ballroom in Deptford, New Jersey.

The evening begins with Hors d’oeuvres and a Silent Auction at 3:30 PM, followed by Dinner and Program at 5:00 PM. The banquet brings together parishioners, families, and friends from across the Delaware Valley in support of IOCC’s ongoing humanitarian work around the world.

Over the years, the Philadelphia banquet has become a familiar gathering point, a time each fall when the community comes together to share fellowship, enjoy a meal, and hear how IOCC continues to bring relief and rebuild lives where it is needed most. Guests will also be able to bid on unique items during the silent auction, with proceeds benefiting IOCC programs in Ethiopia, Greece, the Holy Land, Ukraine, and across the United States.

Since its founding in 1992, IOCC has served as the humanitarian arm of the Assembly of Canonical Orthodox Bishops of the United States. The organization has provided more than $800 million in assistance to families in need across more than 60 countries. Its work includes delivering food, water, and shelter in emergencies and helping communities recover and rebuild long after the headlines fade.

In recent months, IOCC Action Teams have been especially active in the United States. After Hurricanes Helene and Milton devastated parts of the Southeast, volunteers helped families in Tennessee and Florida repair and restore their homes. The Greater Philadelphia Committee has long supported these efforts through its annual banquet and volunteer work, showing how generosity here at home can bring hope far beyond our region.

The Philadelphia banquet is one of several IOCC events taking place nationwide this fall, all united by a simple idea: when local communities act with compassion, their reach becomes global.
