The Hellenic American Women’s Council (HAWC) will host its National Conference 2025 on October 31–November 1 at the Capitol Hilton in Washington, DC.
Founded in 1993, HAWC works to advance leadership opportunities for Hellenic American women. The annual national conference is its cornerstone event, bringing together leaders and community members from across the country.
The program begins Friday with a White House tour (tentative) and a welcome reception. Saturday’s sessions will feature:
- Eirini Metaxas – Transformational coach and founder of me2morph, with a background in behavioral health and leadership wellness
- Dr. Soyini Richards – Business psychologist, professor, and founder of Teachers Festival Inc., recognized with the Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award
- Lea Soupata – Chair of the National Hellenic Society and former Senior Vice President of Human Resources at UPS, the first woman to serve on the company’s executive leadership team
- Valorie Kondos-Field – Former UCLA gymnastics coach, professional ballerina, and author of Life is Short, Don’t Wait to Dance, who led UCLA to seven NCAA championships
The luncheon will include the Aristeon Award presentation to The Honorable Deborah Wince-Smith, President and CEO of the Council on Competitiveness. The day will conclude with the HAWC Annual Business Meeting and dinner at Limani Restaurant at The Wharf.
The conference will be moderated by Zoe Leoudaki, journalist and producer with the Voice of America, who has reported on U.S. and Greek affairs for over a decade.
