On October 9, 2025, members of the Greek diaspora and friends of Greece will come together in London for the 9th Annual London Gala of The Hellenic Initiative. The evening will include a reception at 7:00 PM, dinner and awards at 8:00 PM, and entertainment at 10:00 PM, hosted at the Dorchester Hotel.
The Gala is more than a social occasion. It is a vital fundraiser that sustains THI’s mission to support Greece through crisis relief, economic development, and youth empowerment. Founded in 2012, THI is the only global non-profit organization that unites Greeks around the world through philanthropy by investing in the future of Greece. Since its founding, THI has raised more than $38 million and has grown to be the largest Greek Diaspora organization in the world.
Through its support of the ReGeneration program, which THI helped launch as a founding donor, more than 4,500 jobs have been created for young Greeks, backed by 1.5 million hours of mentoring. The organization’s reach extends further. In 2024, THI provided 400,000 meals to address food insecurity, supported over 30,000 children through healthcare and social programs, and invested $6 million in startup funding to boost innovation.
Environmental recovery is also part of the mission. Since 2022, THI has planted over 27,000 trees across Greece in an effort to restore the country’s forests and rekindle hope in communities affected by wildfires.
The Gala is also a celebration. This year’s program will feature a performance by Konstantinos Argiros, one of Greece’s most popular recording artists. Argiros made headlines in September 2024 with a landmark concert at London’s Royal Albert Hall, and his presence will add star power to the evening.
Last year’s Gala at the Dorchester drew more than 400 guests and raised over $400,000. It was co-chaired by Constantine Logothetis of the THI London Board, Board members Nikos Stathopoulos and Peter Poulos, and Princess Tatiana Blatnik, THI’s International Ambassador. The program included a performance by Eleni Foureira. That success set the stage for an even stronger event in 2025.
The London Gala is more than a highlight of the social calendar. It is proof that the global Greek diaspora remains united in purpose. Guests travel from across Europe, North America, and beyond, drawn by the chance to give back while celebrating their shared heritage.
As one supporter put it, “The Gala is about more than raising money. It’s about showing that Greeks everywhere stand with Greece.”
On October 9, London will once again bring the diaspora together, not just for chandeliers and music, but for a collective commitment to invest in Greece’s future.
