Stella Pahides (née Russon) of Churchville, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully at her home on October 30, 2025, surrounded by her family. She was 90 years old.

Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, in 1935, she was preceded in death by her former husband and father of their children Gus Pahides, her longtime partner Gene Schiappa, her daughter Renée Pahides Zissios, and her brother George Russon (Nancy).

She is survived by her son Peter Pahides (Kelly), her daughters Helene Vellios and Andrea Cosmas (Chris), twelve grandchildren, Dana (Evan), Olivia (Trevor), Dimitri (Christine), Jonathan (Sarah), Christen (Niko), Nico (Ashley), Aris, Alexa, Zara, Demi (Joey), Dena, and Nicolette, and fifteen great-grandchildren: Dean, Eliza, Mason, Jake, Stella, Theo, Jonah, Peter, Summer, Sophia, Eleni, Peter, Ava, Valencia, and Jack.

Stella lived a prayerful life and enjoyed traveling, coloring, and sharing time with her family and friends. She was known for her warmth, humor, and dedication to the people she loved.

Family and friends are invited to the viewing on Friday, November 7, 2025, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 7921 Old York Rd, Elkins Park, PA 19027. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m., followed by interment at Lawnview Cemetery, 500 Huntingdon Pike, Rockledge, PA 19046.
