The St. Sophia community is coming together once again to share the spirit of the season. This year’s Angel Tree project focuses on something simple yet meaningful—warm, comfortable pajamas for mothers who could use a little extra kindness this Christmas.
The initiative, called “Pajamas for Mamas,” collects wrapped pajama gifts that will be donated to a local food community bank, where children will have the chance to pick out a present for their mothers. It is a small moment that means so much: a child choosing something on their own, and a mother receiving a gift wrapped with care.
All sizes of pajamas are needed, especially large and extra large, and each donation should be wrapped and labeled with its size. This helps volunteers make sure every gift finds the right home. Donations can be dropped off through Sunday, December 21, under the Christmas Tree in the Cultural Center at St. Sophia. The hope is that each wrapped gift will bring a bit of warmth to a family that could use it during the holidays.
