As the new year begins, the Corthion Andros Society will gather members and friends for one of the most familiar rituals in Greek communal life: the cutting of the vasilopita. The Society’s Annual Vasilopita Celebration will take place on Saturday, January 17, 2026, beginning at 7:00 p.m., at Adelphia Restaurant & Events in Deptford, New Jersey.
For island societies such as the Corthion Andros Society, the vasilopita is more than a seasonal custom. It is a moment that brings together generations tied by shared origin and memory, offering a pause at the start of the year to reconnect, exchange wishes, and reaffirm continuity within the community.
The evening will include a full dinner and music, with entertainment provided by Neo Kyma. As tradition dictates, the cutting of the vasilopita will also feature the hidden coin, a small but meaningful symbol of good fortune for the year ahead.
Admission is $100 per person, which includes a buffet dinner, top-shelf open bar, annual membership dues, and participation in the vasilopita celebration. A reduced rate of $50 is offered for ages 12 to 18, with children under 12 admitted free.
