A warm and welcoming evening in the heart of winter is always a welcome surprise. Even more so when it brings together Greek music, good food, and a shared sense of purpose.
That is the spirit behind the upcoming Winter Gala, hosted by the Holy Institution Panagia Soumela, taking place on Saturday, February 7, 2026, in Bayside, New York.
The evening promises a festive atmosphere, carefully crafted with tradition, offering guests a chance to enjoy Greek melodies, live performances, and a four-course dining experience with wine. The gala will be held at Vivo!, located at 201-20 Cross Island Parkway, with free parking available on the premises, making access easy for guests traveling from across the region.
Music will be at the center of the night, with Eirini Tsiari performing alongside her orchestra, and special performances featuring Pontian lyra and song by Dimitris Stefanidis, as well as daouli by Sokratis Togridis. Together, they will set the tone for an evening that blends celebration, culture, and community connection.
Beyond the music and dining, the Winter Gala serves a higher purpose. Organized with dedication and care, the event supports the ongoing mission and work of Panagia Soumela, bringing the community together in a setting that is both festive and meaningful.
Due to limited space, prepaid reservations are required by January 30. Admission is $125 for adults and $100 for students.
