Greece’s Permanent Mission to the United Nations and the Consulate General of Greece in New York will host a reception at the United Nations headquarters on March 25 to mark Greek Independence Day.
The event will take place on Wednesday, March 25, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Delegates Dining Room at the United Nations, located at 46th Street and First Avenue in Manhattan.
The reception will be hosted by Permanent Representative of Greece to the United Nations, Aglaia Balta, and Consul General of Greece in New York, Iphigenia Kanara, as part of the annual observance of Greek Independence Day, which commemorates the start of the Greek War of Independence in 1821.
RSVP required for entry
Because of United Nations security procedures, only individuals who submit an RSVP in advance will be granted entry to the UN building. Each attendee must complete a separate registration form in order to receive a day pass.
