Marian “Maya” Peter Roebas (née Georges), 76, of Audubon, Pennsylvania, and formerly of Media, passed away on August 26, 2026, surrounded by her family.

Born March 31, 1950, in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of Peter and Akendena Laleta Georges, Greek immigrants from Mytilene on the island of Lesvos. Her family remembered her for her gentle nature, warmth, honesty, generosity and joyful laugh.

Roebas and her husband, John Roebas Jr., were married for 51 years. She is also survived by their son, John P. Roebas and his wife, Ingrid; her brother, Alexander Georges; and her nephews, Cody Georges and Joshua Georges.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Georgia Georges.

A viewing will be held Wednesday, September 2, from 10 to 11 a.m. at St. Luke Greek Orthodox Church, 35 N. Malin Road in Broomall. The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m., followed by interment at Lawnview Cemetery, 500 Huntingdon Pike in Rockledge.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to St. Luke Greek Orthodox Church or the Lupus Foundation of America in Marian’s memory.
