More than half a century after it was founded, the Greek Orthodox community of Norristown, just outside Philadelphia, is preparing to open the doors of its new church. Rising from its grounds along Trooper Road, the billowing domes of St. Sophia Greek Orthodox Church arch into the sky, crowned by two gleaming golden crosses.
The church stands as both a visual landmark and a spiritual home—welcoming and full of meaning. Inside, freshly painted Byzantine frescoes cover the walls, connecting the faithful to centuries of tradition and belief.
