Cherry Hill, NJ – They certainly know how to throw a party at St. Thomas Greek Orthodox Church. The four day Greek Festival called the “Agora”, brought out thousands for what seemed a rain plagued event.
On Saturday night there wasn’t a table seat available or a line less than a mile long for the food. The youth dance groups came out and danced the night away while under the big tents that circled the church parking lots, they ate and listened to Greek music.
St. Thomas Church President, Constantine Horiatis said, “were doing the best we can to keep up, but were simple understaffed to handle a crowd this large”. The event features, Greek home made food, dancing, games and live music and draws 20,000-30,000 visitors annually.
