The biggest dance of the year happens every Thanksgiving weekend in Philadelphia. The Annual Pontian “Akritai” dance features a celebration of Pontian culture that attracts people from all over the Delaware Valley.
The annual event will be hosted on November 30th, 2013, at Saint Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, the only place that can handle this capacity crowd.
This year, Stathis Pavlidis (vocals) and Babis Kemanetzidis (lyra-clarinet) will pair up along with local musicians, Evangelos Poneres (aggeio), Christos Poneres (daouli), Evangelos Pesiridis (keyboards), Mike Pesiridis (daouli) and our very own, Atlantis of Philadelphia. The night promises to be the best night yet.
