2013-14 PGBL Season – Week 5: Power Struggle and Explosive Performances (Video)

Dominant Wins and an Unbeaten Streak Continue in Week 7

Two standout performances highlighted this week’s PGBL action, along with one team continuing its unbeaten run.

Danny’s Boys 71 – Sixers 60
In the night’s marquee matchup, Danny’s Boys improved to 6–0 with an impressive win over the defending champions. The game featured two top-tier teams — one holding the crown, the other making a strong case to take it. With this victory, Danny’s Boys further solidified their position as the team to beat this season.

Kings 60 – Warriors 56
The Kings narrowly avoided a fourth straight loss, edging out the Warriors in a tightly contested battle. The Warriors made a strong push, but a few late-game mistakes kept them from pulling off the upset. While the Kings breathed a sigh of relief, the Warriors continue to search for consistency.

Wolfpack 67 – Spartans 47
The Wolfpack cruised past the Spartans in a game that was never close. From start to finish, they controlled the pace and dictated the flow. Now hitting their stride, the Wolfpack are beginning to look like the serious contenders they’ve claimed to be all season.

Player Highlights
Pete Kathopoulis of Danny’s Boys and Will Galiatsatos of the Warriors were the standout performers of the night, leading their respective teams in scoring. While Kathopoulis helped extend his team’s unbeaten streak, Galiatsatos’ strong effort wasn’t enough to lift the Warriors out of their slump. The two players remain leaders on opposite ends of the standings — one in pursuit of a title, the other fighting to keep hope alive.

With momentum building and playoff positioning starting to take shape, each game now carries even more weight. Stay tuned as the race intensifies.
