The Society of Epirotes of Philadelphia, “Omonia”, sponsored a luncheon in honor of John Lambris Ph. D. at Adelphia Restaurant in NJ. Professor Lambris is a member of the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, where he works in the field of therapeutic research to cure various diseases. His group has been funded by the National institute of Health for more than 30 years and have received more than 45 million dollars in funding. John Lambris and his family attended the event with other members of the Epirotes of Philadelphia. Professor Lambris hails from Epirus, Greece and has been living in the Philadelphia area for more than 20 years. He is also a member of the local chapter, “Omonia”. After thanking the members and attendees, Lambris spoke briefly about his research and then shifted his conversation to focus on the importance of the organization and giving to the Greek community. For his work in the field of therapeutic research, Cosmos Philly congratulates and recognizes John Lambris Ph. D. as a leader and member of our Philadelphia community.
