Upper Darby, PA. Black and gold decorations, streamers, and masks set the scene for New Year’s Eve 2014 on Tuesday night at Saint Demetrios. The church hall was filled with more than 500 people from the Greek-American community, ready to ring in the new year together.
For the 27th year, the annual dance proved to be one of the most popular celebrations in the community. After dinner, the floor came alive as families and friends danced to music by Atlantis of Philadelphia, with Kostas Poutakis on lyra, George Manouidakis on clarina, and Sideris Andrianos singing Demotika.
It was a night of tradition, music, and togetherness — the perfect way to welcome the year ahead.
