Elkins Park, PA – The cold and snowy weather didn’t keep away the hungry crowd yesterday at Annunciation Greek Orthodox church. Annunciation hosted it’s first winter OPA Greek festival this weekend to much success.
Parish members put in a lot time preparing all sorts of Greek home made dishes. Everything from moussaka to spanakopita a their famous lemon-pepper chicken were made fresh and plentiful. The Philoptochos Society prepared and worked the sweet’s.
The GOYA dance group performed dances from all over Greece to a filled hall. Family members and friends looked on with great pride as the kids showed off their ancestral dancing skills.
