2013-14 PGBL Season – Week 17: Video Highlights & Interviews

Upper Darby, PA – Playoff Action Heats Up at St. Demetrios

There was no shortage of action—or entertainment—on Thursday night as the first round of the PGBL playoffs got underway at St. Demetrios.

Fans packed the gym, enjoying the familiar scent of fresh spanakopita from the snack bar and a halftime performance by the St. Demetrios dance group Pegasus, who brought energy and tradition to the court between games.

Game 1: Sixers Dominate Revolution
The defending champions came out strong and reminded everyone why they still wear the crown. The Sixers were locked in from the opening tip, playing with intensity and precision. They overpowered the Revolution in every phase of the game and advanced with a commanding win.

Game 2: Kings 63 – Rip City 55
Rip City came out hot, jumping to a 10-point lead in the first half and catching the Kings off guard early. But the Kings responded quickly, cutting the deficit to one by halftime. They opened the second half with a 9–1 run and never looked back, controlling the pace and fending off Rip City’s final push. With the win, the Kings advance to the finals.

Looking Ahead
The excitement continues this Thursday with the PGBL Finals — and another halftime performance. This time, the Pan-Macedonian Dancers will take center stage, adding to what promises to be an unforgettable night of basketball and community.

Don’t miss it — the best is yet to come.
