Middletown, PA – A crackling fire with marshmallows and hotdogs highlighted the evening at Linvilla Orchards. St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox church groups “JOY” and “HOPE” for kids joined together with parents and friends for a fall evening. Following a few photo group shots outside of the pumpkin patch, the St. Demetrios group jumped on the back of a tractor bed full of hay.
A hayride through the apple orchards and meeting with witches along the way had the kids excited as they lay in a wagon full of straw. Pumpkin faced giant cookies were handed out by the witches that told of tales and laughter. As they continued their tour to a setting fall sun, a slight chill filled the air.
By the time they had arrived at the Linvilla campgrounds a fire had already been prepared and picnic tables were full of treats for the evening. The warm glows of childrens faces by the fire, were framed against the farm grounds of Linvilla Orchards. Smiles reflected a perfect fall evening for the folks of St. Demetrios.
