Philadelphia, PA – A birthday celebration for Presvytera Anastasia Bandy was hosted yesterday at Spassos Restaurant. Family members and friends from around the country came in to celebrate with Anastasia, as she turned 90. A cake cutting followed by comments about Anastasia and Rev. Prof. Anastasios C. Bandy’s warmth and love throughout the years emerged as the central theme of the evening.
Presvytera Anastasia Bandy and Rev. Prof. Anastasius C. Bandy, were lifetime members of the Greek Orthodox community and members of the Cathedral of St. George in Philadelphia. Presvytera Bandy was interviewed by Cosmos Philly for the Greek American Heritage Society of Philadelphia this past summer for the Interview Series.
