With just two weeks remaining, the race to the PGBL championship is reaching a boil. Last night, two dominant performances reminded everyone why Danny’s Boys and the Kings remain top contenders in the league. Despite strong starts from their opponents, both games turned into blowouts by halftime.
Game 1: Danny’s Boys 70 – Spartans 51
The Spartans came out swinging, catching the defending champs slightly off rhythm in the opening minutes. But it didn’t take long for Danny’s Boys to settle in. Costa Nikolos lit it up from deep, draining five three-pointers in the first half alone. Once the shots started falling, the momentum shifted for good. From there, Danny’s Boys never looked back, controlling the game on both ends of the floor.
Game 2: Kings 102 – Sixers 56
This one started off tight. The Sixers matched the Kings shot-for-shot early on, with the scoreboard knotted at 19–19. But the Kings found their rhythm late in the first half and exploded offensively. The second half was all Kings, who broke the 100-point mark with ease—an exclamation point heading into the semifinals.
