Upper Darby, PA – It may have been snowing and cold outside on Saturday night, but know one could tell the difference. Inside the church of St. Demetrios, the tsipouro runners kept it flowing on the dance floor, tables and at the bar.
Guests were treated to a night of traditional food, dancing, and great Tsipouro for the 9th year in a row. Lazaros Paraskevas and his orchestra did it again, bringing in the music and sounds of the clarino from Epirus, Greece. Patsas and the time-honored tradition of the piperi rounded out the evening, making it feel right at home for the Society of Epirotes of Philadelphia “Omonia” and their guests.
