In a nail-biting finish, the St. George of Media girls’ basketball team edged out Holy Trinity of Egg Harbor 12–11 to claim this year’s GOYA championship.
Trailing 11–8 at halftime, St. George mounted a determined second-half comeback, taking the lead with under two minutes remaining. Their defense held strong, keeping Holy Trinity scoreless throughout the entire second half to seal the victory in one of the most dramatic games of the season.
