During the summer months, traditional oil wrestling contests combined with bazaars are held along the borders of Macedonia and Greece. Greeks, Albanians, Turks, and Bulgarians all gather together. Young boys are often invited to imitate the competitors in exhibition matches, which always draw cheers from the spectators.
