Pontians from Greece, USA, Russia and Turkey join hands and dance to the tradition sounds of their homeland at the famed monastery, Panagia Soumela. The annual pilgrimage to the region of Pontos brings many here. In 2010, the monastery was again opened for services after nearly eight decades of being dormant.
