Valley Forge, PA – Iconographer George Kordis returned to the Philadelphia area this past week to continue with the fourth stage of frescoes painting at St. Sophia Greek Orthodox church. The Ascension in the sanctuary area and two smaller compositions in the Narthex were completed over the course of several days. A light course was offered on Thursday for those interested in the history and process of Byzantine Iconography. The main church has been preliminary scheduled for December 2016.
