Upper Darby, PA – On Saturday evening, Martha Tompoulidou performed the solo role of Clytemnestra. The role encompassed the murder of her husband, Agamemnon, and the her nephew lover. Throughout the performance she explains her decision to kill her husband and her life. Throughout the narrative performance she removes a segment of her garment, cleansing herself of the past and the decisions she has made.
Martha Tompoulidou has performed as Clytemnestra on numerous occasions around the country including NYC, Chicago, and Atlanta. This was her first visit to Philadelphia where she performed at St. Demetrios culture center. Following her performance, Tompoulidou met with the guests at a reception. All funds and proceeds went to St. Demetrios Church.
