Upper Darby, PA – Metropolitan Evangelos of New Jersey led the congregation of St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church during services on Good Friday evening. The parishioners carried the Epitafio on to Powell Lane. The church choir and parishioners of all ages followed with lit candles. The Epitafio was covered in roses and carnation as it was paraded through the neighborhood. Good Friday is a Christian holiday commemorating the crucifixion of Jesus Christ and his death at Calvary.
