Cherry Hill, NJ – Handbags, cooking ware, and a whole host of items was raffled off as part of the Philoptochos’ Bid ‘N Buy last night at St. Thomas Greek Orthodox Church. Some 450 women from Greek Orthodox parishes and around the South Jersey area came out for this annual event, that helps advance the philanthropic endeavors of the St. Irene Ladies Philoptochos Society.
Hosted at the Danielle Kousoulis Culture Center, the affair unites our community and allows us to catch up with friends one guest said. Guests were also treated to a meal and drinks throughout the evening, served by the male parishioners of the church. The event was themed “Through the Years”, in honor of St. Thomas fiftieth anniversary.
