Philadelphia, PA – Last week, St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Philadelphia held a lively Beef and Beer fundraiser, bringing together parishioners and friends for a night of food, music, and giving back. Sponsored by the Ladies Philoptochos Society, the event aimed to support both local hunger relief and ongoing church restoration efforts.
A portion of the evening’s proceeds was donated to Philabundance, the region’s largest hunger relief organization. The rest will help fund continued repairs and preservation work at St. George, one of Philadelphia’s most historic and cherished Greek Orthodox churches.
The event marked the beginning of a full season of activities at the cathedral. With winter and spring events already on the calendar, the community is looking ahead with energy and purpose.
