Delaware Valley chapters of the Order of AHEPA will welcome Supreme President E. Chris Kaitson on Thursday, September 25, 2025, at 6 p.m. for a rooftop reception at the Sheraton Philadelphia Downtown, 201 North 17th Street, overlooking the Center City skyline.
AHEPA has had a strong presence in the Philadelphia region for decades, dating back close to the organization’s 1922 founding. Local chapters across Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware continue to work together on scholarships, cultural events, and community service projects.
The September gathering is part of the early preparations for AHEPA’s 104th Supreme Convention, which Philadelphia will host in 2026. Chapter leaders plan to begin coordinating hospitality efforts and outlining the region’s role in welcoming delegates from across the United States and abroad.
Kaitson was unanimously elected Supreme President at the 103rd Supreme Convention earlier this year. Since then, he has been traveling to AHEPA districts around the country to meet members, recognize volunteer leadership, and discuss organizational priorities. In his public remarks he has emphasized traditional AHEPA themes such as youth engagement, scholarships, and philanthropy.
The Philadelphia reception will bring together chapter officers, district representatives, and members from across the Delaware Valley. It offers a setting for local members to discuss preparations for the 2026 Supreme Convention and the organization’s nearly century-long history in the Greek-American community.
