AHEPA announces a spectacular week of events celebrating the 95th Anniversary of the Order at the AHEPA Supreme Convention in Orlando, Florida.

The Supreme Convention will commence on July 24, with AHEPA family leadership meetings beginning Monday afternoon. Members of the Supreme Lodge, Board of Trustees, and AHEPA committees will be meeting at the fabulous Walt Disney World Yacht & Beach Club resort. AHEPA registration will start on Tuesday morning. Opening ceremonies will be held to mark the beginning of business sessions for AHEPA delegates, alternates, and committees.

AHEPA is turning 95! In conjunction with our premier convention sponsor Walt Disney World, AHEPA is inviting its members to a fantastic birthday event on Wednesday, July 26 on the grounds of the Epcot theme park.

Aside from a spectacular firework show, Disney and AHEPA have a few more treats we can’t wait to share. All AHEPA Family delegate or alternate will be admitted to this event with their AHEPA/WDW approved badges, and AHEPA members may pick up passes at registration. Any non-AHEPA members wishing to attend will need to join at the AHEPA registration desk or office to participate in this historic event. As per Disney’s rules, proof of membership in the organization must be given for each guest present. If they do not wish to join, a $150 fee will be charged for entry to the park and the event itself. The International Gateway entrance of Epcot will open at 5 PM and will be the ONLY entry point for all AHEPA Family members and guests of the convention. Children under the age of 14 will be permitted to enter the event free of charge; they will also need a badge.

On Thursday, together with premier convention sponsor Emirates Airline, AHEPA will host the annual Athletics Luncheon to honor exemplary athletes in the community. All AHEPA members who purchase a convention package are invited to attend this fantastic event at 12:30 PM in the South Ballroom. Also on Thursday, the AHEPA Hellenic Cultural Commission presents the exciting documentary film Greece Year Zero in Asbury Room A, B & C at 5 PM and a Q & A with Director and Filmmaker Dannis Koromilas.

Friday, the AHEPA Educational Foundation is happy to present the first ever annual National Championship round of the AHEPA Hellenic History Tournament. Teams from across the United States will compete for over ten thousand dollars ($10,000) in scholarships.

Friday night, a record number of AHEPA Family and friends from across America, Canada, Europe and Australia will gather for the AHEPA Family Greek Night in the Ballroom at 8:00 PM.

On Saturday, business concludes with the election of the organization’s new officers for the 2017-2018 year. AHEPA is pleased to have a special Symposium on the Eastern Mediterranean with panelists, Congressman Gus Bilirakis, Greece Defense Minister Panos Kamenos and Cyprus Ambassador Leonidas Pantelides.

To celebrate a successful year and successful convention, those who purchased a convention package are invited to the AHEPA Family Grand Banquet. Special guests include Chief Operating Officer of the Chick-fil-A Corporation and AHEPA member Tim Tassopoulos, Defense Minister of Greece Panos Kamenos, and more. Additionally, Archbishop Demetrios of America will help us honor our veterans for their service to our country.
