The American Hellenic Institute (AHI) will host its 22nd Annual Golf Classic on October 20, 2025, at the Country Club of Fairfax, bringing together community members, sponsors, and supporters for a day of fellowship, competition, and philanthropy.
The event begins at 9:30 a.m. with registration and breakfast, followed by a special guest speaker, Trish Christakis, Sports and News Anchor & Reporter with CBS News Miami. Christakis, whose career in journalism has made her a respected voice in sports and news media, will share insights before players take to the course.
The shotgun start is scheduled for 11:15 a.m., with golfers playing across the course at the Country Club of Fairfax. At the end of the day, participants will gather for the Awards Dinner, where winners and supporters will be recognized.
Sponsors and Leadership
This year’s tournament is led by co-chairmen Leon Andris and Peter Bota. Sponsors already confirmed include Leon Andris, Ted Argeroplos, Demitrios Halakos, and Metro 29 as Hole Sponsors.
The Tournament Sponsor is Calamos Investments, continuing its tradition of supporting the AHI’s mission and community initiatives.

The Golf Classic offers a range of ways to take part. Individuals can register as players, while businesses and supporters may sponsor elements of the day, from breakfast and registration to dinner, golf carts, and individual holes. Packages include breakfast, greens fees, golf cart, and the evening awards dinner, along with recognition in the program and during the event.
